agent-install is a Model Context Protocol server in the dev category. You register it with an MCP-aware client — Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor or any other — and it exposes its tools to the model over a single connection.

It reports roughly 2030.5k installs a week, so it is one of the more battle-tested options here rather than an experiment.

How to use it

  1. Install the server with the command above (or add it to your client's MCP config).
  2. Restart or reload your MCP client so it picks up the new server.
  3. Ask the model to use one of the server's tools — it now appears in the tool list.
